Arrived at Doha, Qatar

16th December 2011 (Friday)

After we woke up about 7am, we changed and refreshed ourselves by bushing teeth and so on. It is about quarter before 8am, we got our breakfast and went to the hall for the next section. Like usual, we did the energizer and discuss the things that we need to do during the stay at Italy. I still remember that the last section is the photo section. We took many pictures of us and I still remember the about of people that are going to Italy and China. There are 35 people that are going to Italy and there are 4 people who are going to China. Cool right? We truly had fun during the orientation. I was happy that I participated this organization. Then we get our luggage and check out from our room. After that, we get our lunch around 1pm. I ate a lot of chicken rice because I knew that I will miss to eat rice at Italy. Then, my father picked me up and I slept about 1 hour at my aunt’s house. As you know, I lived at Tawau, Sabah but I was born at Ipoh, Perak. So at 13th December I took my flight to Kuala Lumpur at night.

These is some of my friends at the aeroplane :

Amira and I (Nurul Faizah)

Shifa and Ann

Back to the topic, About 5.15pm, we departed from home to Kuala Lumpur International Airport(KLIA). I saw all my friends wearing white T-shirts that wrote about AFS Malaysia with their big luggage. My family was in a rush because they want to travel to Singapore by car. After I reached where my friends are, my parents say goodbye to me and left. I can’t cry that time because everything is in rush that time. We are busy checking our passports and stuff. After we check in, Kak Inani that is in charge of this trip ask the parents to say goodbye to their children because the participants need to pass the check point to another part of the airport. That time, all the participants hugged their parents and the parents advice their children to behave and much more. At that moment, my tears start to flow from my eyes. I was so sad because I can’t see my parents for the last time. Many of the participants cried when their parents hugged them but there are some participants that are cold blooded. Really ! On that time, my friends and I was alone with no guidance. We worked together and help each other. I was really happy plus scared that time. After we go into the aeroplane, some of the participants that are cold blooded cried. So I knew that they are soft hearted but didn’t want to show their real emotions in front of their parents. I guess. Haha. Then, we took our flight to Doha, Qatar using Qatar Airlines. I sat near a Chinese Boy called Kenny.

He is a shy person, He just answer what I asked and sit quietly at his seats. I know that he is shy that time. When we arrived, We went to a lounge called Onxy Lounge. At that time, we are so bored and we surfed the internets and slept to avoid our miserable time about 8 hours.

My Orientation

Hi Guys, as you know that on 15th December 2011 (today), I am going to express what had I been through throughout this day.
First of all, I was late to the orientation because I am late. My parents and I departed from Shah Alam about 8.00am, and the meeting starts at 9.00. Because it is morning, it is common that it will have heavy traffic jam. We don’t know about it and we were stuck along the way. I was sleepy and I slept on the car because I only slept about 5 hours that day. So, When I woke up, I saw my parents busy looking for the road to Maluri Hotel. So, I know we are lost for sure. Just because we are too late, my dad parked at the Jusco shopping centre and we walk to Maluri Hotel by foot. It is hilarious, I am telling you. When we arrive at the hotel, I saw all the people staring at me. I am so scared that time. So, I walk into the hall and sat behind the hall. During the briefing, my parents accompany me and left after the break. After the break, all the participant of AFS to Italy and China gather at the hall. The volunteers of AFS Malaysia ask us to draw anything that we want to be. So, I drew a lighted candle in a dark place. Then, they ask us to come one by one to introduce ourselves. That time, I was a coward. I can’t even lift my hand to introduce myself. I was anxious about my English Language is good or not. But after that, I encourage myself to lift my hand and move in front. The host, named Abang Shah asked me my name and what I want to be. I said : “ I love adventure, I love to discover the world and brighten my future before I die like this candle.” Everyone looked at me with a question mark. It is funny when they looked at me. Then Abang Shah said: “Life brief candle”. We all were laughing and my hands is sweating, maybe because I was nervous. Hehe. Then We have lunch, I meet new friends that is Shifa, Ila and Fatini. We ate lunch together and talk about ourselves. Then we continue our orientation’s activities such as energizer, what we expected when we arrive at Italy, playing games and discuss about the rules of AFS. Then, We ate dinner and continue our section. About 9.30, we go to our room and my roommates is Jerene and Ann. We sleep like a log. Hehe.
This is some pictures about me and my friends, hope you enjoy:

Doha International Airport

Hi, nice to meet you all.. Before I start anything, I want to apologize to you all about the arrangement of my post. I have taken a lot of photos but my camera's USB is at my luggage, and I can't take it. So, I used my laptop's camera to took some pictures about where I am right now. So, here goes..

After a long flight from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to Doha International Airport (DIA), My friends and I went to DIA lounge. As you all know, Doha is the capital city of Qatah, Arab Saudi. Because Doha is at Middle-East, so its time also different from us. Right now, Doha is about 2.15am in the morning, but I feel like did not sleepy at all. Do you know why? It's because Malaysian time is at 7.15am in the morning.. I was also shock. The interesting part is Doha's temperature right now is about 17 degree celcius. It is freezing, really! you can also see the mist at the sky, the moon is bigger than Malaysia. I never knew Arab Saudi is this cool (although I just inside DIA only) hehe.. Now, we are waiting for our flight to Rome. I will put my photos after I got my luggage and of course if i have time.

These is some photos that I took using skype,

This is the lounge, it is really huge, REALLY!! and its cold.

This is me, taking my picture alone. SS, i guess.

There are many different people in here, just doing there own job
So, for now. This is my story for now. I hope you enjoy it,
